Wood Duck – Male

Nikon D300, 500mm PF, 1/2000s, f5.6, iso640

Spotted a male Wood Duck swimming in between few noisy Canadian Geese. I tried to find a way to isolate him from those geese. He was swimming back and forth seem to avoid me following him. After awhile, he walked up to the mud and shook of the excess water on his feather. I knew that’s the moment I should capture it.

The shuttle speed wasn’t fast enough to stop the movement. It was a fun experience.
