Hairy Woodpecker (Female)

Nikon D300, 1/400s, f7.1, iso800

Both Male and female Hairy Woodpecker look alike. The only different between them is the red crown patch on male Hairy Woodpecker and female doesn’t have.

I was very lucky to observe both male and female Hairy Woodpecker on the same day and in the same preserved. Hopefully their are a pair and building their nest somewhere in the preserved.
